I've been out in the pouring rain in Florida while wearing this jacket and stayed dry. My phone survived zipped up in one of the front pockets too. I like that the inside is mesh lined because it gets so hot and muggy here, but this jacket is pretty lightweight. Therefore it gets 5 stars for meeting all of my expectations of a functional rain jacket.

This was bought for replacement jacket i had since 2006. I had a gray one and the zipper broke. It was my presidential jacket of choice when president of my rotaract club. Gives a commanding presence when you need that look. My only grip is the zipper is bit picky at times gotta be exactly in lined or it doesnt zip. the zipper changed also to a dickies made zipper with logo instead of the old one was said something else and cant remember what it said. i bought one of my favorite jacket colors black, blue and gray. cant go wrong with those color choices. inside pocket stores all kinds of good stuff from a tape recorder to food.
