I checked out all the competition in fleece jackets and while some of the others were certainly quite nice, this jacket fit all of my needs and was a great deal less expensive. It is soft and warm but lightweight enough to wear in 50-70 degree weather. I'm always the cold one, and this jacket is perfect to take into an overly airconditioned restaurant or to wear outside as a warm day turns into a cool evening. It's a good fit whether I've got a short sleeve shirt or a sweatshirt underneath. It washes well, keeps its color and shape. I couldn't be happier!
